I have checked my files and realized that I have a marriage certificate for Thomas Farmer Watkins to Emma Barber (21 March 1858) which states that his father was Thomas Watkins, engineer and Emma's father was Joseph Barber, Blacksmith. |

Based on the 1851 census, I have now located the father of Thomas Farmer Watkins. He is Thomas Watkins born 1804 Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, married to Mary about 1836 and his parents were Thomas and Sarah Watkins who seem to have had 4 children christened in Cheshunt, Hertfordshire 1802-1806. |
